Running global Registry services takes some serious horsepower, even for a Registry like .NAME. I can only imagine how much processing power, bandwidth and global redundancy is needed for the .COM and .NET zones.
It’s great that the provider running most of the Internet is really gearing up for all the growth we all are expecting over the next 10 years.
